Anonymous asked: hey addison, thanx for answering my question earlier and i do have another. how much would the spacers cost me and if i was to install the springs without the spacers how much damage would i be doing. also the springs are actually for an rsx and is part of the deal but lets just pretend the rsx megan racing springs were to be compatible and i get them installed; would i still be lowering the s2k by to much to be reliable?
Drive shaft spacers will range from $100-250 depending on which you buy. Take a look at T1R spacers, they get much positive feedback. You will be doing lots of wear & tear on the joints if your don’t. Eventually, that could be a very costly fix, much more than what it would cost for spacers.
FYI: You do not need spacers if you are only lowering the car by > 1 inch. I would only get spacers if you are lowering < 1 inch.
Also; Stock dampers are designed to work with stock springs. changing to a spring that is stiffer or lower will cause premature wear.
I do not think this would be reliable at all. I looked at the Megan Racing lowering springs for the RSX and it says that it will lower it about 2”.
I don’t think it’s a very good idea in my honest opinion.
Let me know what happens, and if you have any other questions I can answer for you.
